Take part in the Museum Tea Parties at the National Museum of Contemporary History, Ljubljana/Slovenia, running on 4th, 11th and 17th November 2015!

A series of Museum Tea Parties are a public accompanying programme of EuroVision Lab. Ljubljana, consisting of three events, where we invited our guest speakers in order to tackle with the EMEE related topics in a more informal way. For this purpose we connected with our satellite partner – European project Dostopnost/Accessibility. Together we will be hosting these three events and talk about attracting the visitors, creating the social arena in museums, scenographic input and multi-layered object presentations, and trying to answer a question: how can museums become a relevant social space on the base of its cultural heritage.

The events will happen on November 4th, 11th and 17th 2015 at 5pm.

The starting event, on November 4th 2015, our guest speakers are Karl Stocker, Erika Thümmel and Boštjan Botas Kenda, who will talk about multi-layered object presentation and will tackle with our large challenge: how to attract the younger generations and museum non-visitors.

Second tea party will be in a presence of three main museum associations in Slovenia and their representatives: ICOM Slovenia, Slovene Museum Association and Slovene Museum Society. Together we will try to talk about the museum networking and joint aim – transnational relevance and presentation of the museum heritage.

Last, but not least tea party is hosting the young museum experts in order to get their insight on the museum views, what kind of connection do they see between the museums and Europe in the future.
